Confession #53: HAUL-leujah for Sephora

Hi dolls,

I feel like it has been FOREVER since I have written anything, but life has been going on with or without me and I am just trying to keep up. Who knew being a senior in college would be so hard?!

Even though I haven’t been writing I have been purchasing makeup (surprise, surprise) I have quite a few products that I am REALLY excited about that I want to share with you.

I know the title says Sephora, but I got one product from Amazon and I just wanted to show you really quick and then we can dive into what I am really excited about.

I was purchasing some stuff for school and most of them were add-on items so I of course decided to pad my cart with makeup..because why not?

I had been wanting to try the Milani blushes. I’ve heard so many good things about them, but for some reason never purchases any on my own. This blush was in my “Products Recommended for You” so I added it to the cart.

This is Milani Baked Blush in the color Luminoso. I included a swatch below if you are interested.

I tried this out a couple of times, and I really like it! The formula is very build able, the color is subtle on me, and the bit of shimmer adds for a highlight, if you don’t want to apply another form. I love this blush, but it is definitely more of a summer color. I can’t wait to bring it out!

Now onto the stuff I am really excited about, SEPHORA haul! It is a little weird, I used to be so loyal to Ulta, I rarely shopped at Sephora, but when my favorite brow bar tech stopped working at my local Ulta I didn’t go in as much. Around that same time my local JC Penney got a small Sephora, and the rest is history! I’m obsessed with Sephora now, and even more so because of the all the exclusive brands and things they have there.

I purchased all of these things over the course of a couple of weeks. I’m not going to show all the little things I got, just my favorites, If you are interested in seeing everything I got form Sephora check out my Instagram (@mixedbeautyconfessions) , I post my hauls there as well!

First comes Champagne Pop, MY GOD. I seriously love this highlight it is absolutely gorgeous. I am way to obsessed with Jaclyn Hill, so when I found out about Champagne Pop I had to have it, and I regret nothing. A lot of times with things like Champagne Pop, the product never lives up to they hype. That is not the case with this highlight, the formula is light and very easy to blend, I seriously want to just bathe in it.

I mean seriously look at the GLOW! (we won’t talk about the brows…everyone is entitled to a bad brow day every so often).

What I really like about Champagne Pop is that it will work on every skin tone. I usually don’t wear a highlight because I feel like a lot of them look funny on my skin, but that is not the case with Champagne Pop, I have seen it used on fair to deep skin tones, and it looks great on everyone.

This gorgeous highlight is still available at Sephora for $38.00, totally worth the splurge.

Since I was feeling Champagne Pop so much, I knew when Becca came out with the Jaclyn Hill Christmas palette, Champagne Glow, I would be purchasing. I am so glad I did in time! This palette sold out so quickly, I bought it and the next day there were none left.

Becca highlights are simply gorgeous.

The Champagne Glow palette includes some gorgeous colors, again what I really love is that this palette is great for any skin tone. Becca is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands because of their extremely wide range of products.

The Champagne Glow palette includes 3 limited edition Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfecting Powders. Pearl is gorgeous highlight, I call this one a more traditional highlight, it has a beautiful shimmer and is very lightly colored. Champagne Pop which I obviously love (see above :P). Blushed Copper is my favorite in this palette, What I love is that it is a deeper highlight. I think this color would look amazing on deeper skin tones. I’m obsessed with how gorgeous this palette, I really don’t even want to use it, I don’t want to disturb the beauty.

I just checked and it looks like Sephora restocked some Champagne Glow Palettes, so hurry and get on it! They are $34 and like I said Becca highlights are worth the splurge to me.

The final product I am obsessing over recently is the Lolita Lip Duo by Kat Von D. Liquid Lipsticks are amazing we all know that to be true, but they are also pretty dang expensive. I really weird, I have no issue for paying a higher price when it comes to foundation, eye shadow palettes, and pretty much everything else, but when it comes to lip products I’m stingy. I have been wanting to try the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks for awhile. I have heard their formula is amazing, and they last forever. So when I was shopping around Sephora and saw the Lolita Lip Duo I knew I had to have it.

I really love both of the Lolita colors, I like they both have a somewhat brown undertone to them, they look so great on, and all the hype about the formula is not just hype I have no need to reapply, and the drying is bearable.

I’m wearing Lolita in the picture below.

This Kat Von D lip duo is currently out of stock, but both of these colors can be purchased in full size.
