I am all for trying new things. I like to think that I stay ahead of the game on trends, some trends however are just so crazy, I’m skeptical about trying them.
Derma Rolling was one of those things for me. If you know me at all, you know I have a serious phobia of needles, I avoid shots like the plague and when I have to get them, I may or may not spend the whole day, before and after, crying from the traumatic event.
So when I was told that I could get rid of my dark spots, firm up my skin, brighten my complexion, and avoid wrinkles, I was all for it! Who wouldn’t want to do all those things? You’d have to be insane. I of course said “YES!” Then came the rest of the deal, all I had to do was roll little needles across my face. My fight or flight immediately kicked in and I was running, I DO NOT do needles. My inner desire to be on trend however got a hold of me, and I was promised it wouldn’t hurt. So here we are a month later, and I’m telling you I am still a bit skeptical (because needles) but I have seen some improvement.

I received the Petunia Skincare Derma Roller about 1 month ago. I have been using it every other day, and while I have noticed some changes, I don’t see a ton of difference.
If you don’t know how a derma roller works. Here is the video I watched to learned exactly how to use the product I received.
It really is very simple, you lightly roll it across your face. I’m going to stress lightly if you press hard it will hurt! I learned that the hard way. Simply roll the derma roller on your face in the same direction, (I do it 10 times) and then switch.
I have paid the most attention to some of my dark spots on my cheeks, and though I haven’t notice those getting much lighter, I have noticed my skin is so much smoother and more firm. I also have noticed that after I derma roll and apply moisturizer my face stays so much smoother for a longer period of time.
As of right now I am giving the Petunia Skincare Derma Roller 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Once I see my dark spots lightening I will be sure to update.
I do not know if I can wholeheartedly say that I recommend this product, at least if your main goal was to lighten dark spots, but if you want smoother, firmer, and more moisturized skin give it a try.
