Summer time is almost here! I have to say I am very excited, I can almost feel that summer sun kissing my skin. Summer is no doubt my favorite season, but I have to say, I hate it almost as much as I love it. Now you are probably wondering, how in the world can you have summer?!?! I know right! whats not to love about a nice little break from school, a day by the pool, a vacation to the beach, tanning and just being carefree.
I’ll tell you whats not to love…WATER. That’s right good old H2O. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about a cool refreshing glass of water on a hot day, because nothing is better than that! I’m talking about water in larger scales. For a mixed beauty like myself, water becomes public enemy number one! The only problem is I love water! I love swimming and splashing around.So every summers day, when I receive an invite to the lake or the pool the battle between getting in or unleashing the dreaded beast begins. What exactly is the beast? I’m glad you asked. The beast is something that can’t be tamed, its unruly, and its ugly… that’s right the beast is what I like to call my half-fro, Being that I don’t put any type of product in my hair, the minute my hair comes within 100 feet of a body of water it instantly poofs out. So the luxury of knowing just what my hair is going to do is gone for now.
